I have long been in love with Khaled Hosseini's books. In university, I read 'The Kite Runner', which is a masterpiece. Sitting on the back of a crowded Magic Bus (oh, Manchester, really could have had a better bus company name), trying to hold back tears after reading an astounding chapter, really sums it up for me. It was wonderful. I then stumbled across 'A Thousand Splendid Suns', at the height of my exploration of Feminism, and fell in love with the author again. He really and truly has a magical way of writing. His work allowed me a window into seeing another side of a very murky world situation. He really is amazing, and for anyone who is looking for a new read, I would recommend grabbing one of his previous novels.
Tonight, feeling somewhat bored, I opted to look at the Kobo hot list. I was pretty eager to discover something new to read. I've been working hard and I need a new treat! I was so excited when I saw his name, but slightly deflated when I realised I would be waiting until May to read it. Still, it gives me something to look forward to. In the meantime, I may have to revisit the other two books.
