I've been pretty quiet. I'm not apologising for it, as I've been using the time to do a lot of thinking, organising and re-arranging. And, as always, creative stuff.
So here's a quick update of what's been going on.
- I made it back from England safe and sound, albeit very sweaty! Trust me to choose the hottest possible day to travel, on a plane with pleather seats, choosing a transit airport with no air conditioning, all while wearing a long sleeve top, warm yoga pants and carrying two 20 lb bags!
- I have been for some medical tests regarding my stomach, which is adamant that it no longer wants to play by the rules.
- I have taken apart, reorganised and thrown out a lot of things from my 'craft' room as part of my reorganising of mind and rearranging of my life.
- I applied for a few awesome jobs close to me, I decided that my priorities have changed massively and there is no space for self-employment to keep hanging out at the top of the priority list, for the moment. Although, having a side line (legally) and doing The Lemon Hive on a smaller, quieter basis, is something that might continue but it is all dependent on the job I end up with. Watch this space.
- Reprioritising is rubbish, but someone has to do it.
- Watching your pool being pumped into the street smells both gross and like death. Having to shovel dead leaves that have sat in it over winter is even worse.
- Finding somewhere to change winter tyres into summer tyres that is cheap, cheerful and quality is a delight, and way better than having to handle a dealership, "sweetheart"!
- I am adding the finishing touches to a blog that I started designing for a lovely lady in England. More on that later.
