Today is my baby sister's birthday.
I say 'baby' loosely because, well, she's been taller than me since 2006.
Lizzie has always danced to her own rhythm. She frustrates me endlessly and she makes me so proud. I wish, I wish, I wish I had half the spunk, confidence and charisma that she possesses. She has always been cooler, more with it and more (let's just say it and get it out there) normal than me. Don't get me wrong, we both pretty much dance to our own rhythms. Elizabeth, however, dances louder and brighter.
And, today, she is 20. Today is the day that marks 2 decades since I went to the hospital as a pink cheeked 6 year old, during an early autumn to meet my cooler, charmer of a sister. I have known this little (now tall) person for over 20% of a century. Now, that's, kinda cool.
I am truly sorry for all those times (and I can think of many) that I have annoyed you.
I miss you.
Love xx
