Little Things Count

My sister's friend is currently studying some sort of art, I want to say graphics (?!), at university. As you'll see he's actually pretty awesome. Anyway, I was looking over his new blog and looked over the infographic he'd created to describe a self-motivated study. For some unknown reason (students!), he decided that it would be a challenge to forgo the use of door handles for an entire day. Seems pretty unusual but not impossible.

I enjoyed how much this bizarre challenge reinforced my idea that it's the small things in life that I appreciate. Like, doors that push in, or friends who will hold doors open for you (or lock you in rooms), or door handles, full stop.

I'm not sure I could do a day without door handles. This project made me realise how much I do each day without realising it. Do you know, off the top of your head, how many doors you go through each day, or how even how much you use your hands? I love little projects like this just because they make me realise that it's the little things in life that really make up into pretty big events that we take for granted.

George is a brilliant artist and, it would appear, exceptionally amusing. You can see more of his work here: George's Portfolio
