Life has it's fun moments and I thoroughly like to take them.
I have a friend (singular) in Prescott. I know, right?! Crazy. Imagine that, having one friend in the town of one's own residence.
We tried being healthier together but I can assure you that there is nothing healthy in rolling out of bed at 4:30 am to go on a 'health' walk. I'm never quite sure whether to be embarrassed lest people think we are indulging in a walk-of-shame moment (wearing jogging bottoms and trainers), annoyed that it's so early, or proud that I managed to not physically attack my lovely friend for her cheeriness so early in the morning (the nerve of some people!). Regardless of my conflicting emotions, I enjoyed our walks, although the timing left much to be desired. Since she owns a daycare in town, we decided to do daytime walks to make the most of the beautiful mornings we are getting over here. It's a little haphazard but I enjoy it when the opportunity presents itself.
This past week, I've eaten a lot. In fact, much of my waking moments have involved food. So much so that I spent a good proportion of last weekend baking. I may even type up my results for all of you to look over. Honestly, if I can bake/make it, anyone can!
So, that's where I'm left. Windswept after long walks and, what feels like, a perpetual sugar high (I really must do something about that!).
Oooo...and, my hair is now so long that I am able to tie it up and, for my curly friends out there, when I tried combing it the other day, I had to start at the bottom because it was tangled. Tangled! It's been a while since I've had tangled hair but I am loving it. I am over short hair. It was brilliant when I was at university but, to be honest, I think that era is over and long hair is the way forward.
--- remind me of this when I next feel it's a good idea to cut it all off again ---
(all I desired was to look like Jess Brody - aka Morena Baccarinn- from Homeland, what's so wrong with that?!)
