It's no secret that I love Christmas.
Having a December birthday, discovering how amazing my Ontario support network is, and Christmas all in one month is a bit intense and completely awe inspiring.
My birthday was at the start of this month and is partly the reason that my Christmas tree went up so early. In the UK, my parents made it a tradition to have the tree up before my big day. This happened every single year. After moving to Canada, I noticed that Canadian's did it even earlier, especially the further west you went. I put up my tree the weekend after Remembrance Day and many laughed, I tell you and, I must admit, so did I. But I enjoy Christmas cheer so much that I just had to do it. The Canadian and I went and scoured the shops for a cheap white Christmas tree, much to the chargrin of my friends on Facebook. We bought it and decorated in bronze and silver. Next year we intend to make it brighter with purples and turquoises but, apparently, patience is a virtue. -roll eyes-

My Christmas-season plans are pretty exciting this year as I'm hopeful that I will be seeing friends and family from the other side of the pond. I am so excited about this.
What are your plans for this season?
