I love sharpies. They were never really a 'thing' before I started being creative again. I didn't really understand just how exciting they were. They're reasonably cheap, they're available in loads of colours and, this might sound strange, but they're a good weight and thickness for easy handling.
I've been on a big flower obsession recently and I find using Sharpies has been a really good way to explore the shapes and sketches without getting too into the detail. It makes for a more interesting pop art effect. As someone who likes to have a stock pile of mini cards available for most occasions, I just made this one into a thank you card because nothing says thank you like a bouquet of flowers.
There are lots of reasons that I love sending thank you cards, mainly because of all the benefits that showing gratitude (1,2,3) can have but really because receiving hand drawn and personalised greetings cards makes me happy right down to my toes. There are loads of ways to say thank you and express that love but snail mail makes me smile and letters of love make me joyous! Stick with what you know, right?
