My Cat Behaves Like A Dog

I never used to love animals. In fact, I was pretty ambivalent about them all. Now we have a little zoo and it's wonderful.

I absolutely love my cats. This cat, in particular, amuses me. If you know nothing about tortoiseshell cats and their tortitude, then don't despair! I knew nothing about it either, that is, until I met Molly. Molly is ... interesting.

I found the above video stowed away on my computer and felt that a little background about the kitty who causes most havoc should be shared. She used to chase her little foam ball, hit it around a little bit and then bring it back to drop it at your feet. So cute!

We have to be careful that we don't 'do' things in front of her. For instance, she used to claw through the screens all the time and escape (not a cool thing for her to do in Canada), so, like responsible pet owners, we bought pet proof screening. She watched the Canadian replace the screen and we never had her claw through the screen again. Instead, she just pulled it out, in exactly the reverse way that she'd watched The Canadian painstakingly put it together. She's so smart that it's a bit of a nightmare.

But when you look at her eyes, how can you not fall in love with her?
